The Body Shop White Musk Eau de Parfum Clean, fresh, soft scent – Lily Bhattacharya – Encinitas, CA
I love this fragrance. It is my signature scent to wear. I started using this when I discovered the cruelty free issue- no testing on animals. That appealed to me. The musk, lily, ylang ylang, basil and other ingredients make this a unique soft but recognizable scent. The price is good too. A little does a long way. So wait before applying more.
I also recommend Dewberry by Body Shop. They discontinued the fragrance years ago, but kept the oil, thank god. I highly recommend this fragrance to people who dislike heavy scents or are concerned with animal rights, and recycling. The company is very proactive on these issues.
Ok, so I haven’t bought this yet, but I’ve sampled it several times. What I can say is that I’m totally in love with this fragrance. Can’t wait to order it! Don’t be fooled by how it smells for the first five to ten minutes, it’ll smell kinda weird. But once the five or ten minutes are over, it smells AMAZING! I don’t know how to describe it, because I have no idea how to put fragrances in words. The best words I have for it are “floral musk”. Very feminine, very seductive.
One other great thing about it–it’s cruelty free! Some people might wonder how perfume can be cruelty free. First of all, they’re against animal testing. Plus, they use a synthetic musk instead of the animal derived musk that most perfumeries use (I don’t know if they have to kill the animals or not to get the musk from them, but however they do it, it can’t be pleasant). And only the most sensitive of noses (e.g. one trained as a perfume maker) can tell the difference between the animal derived stuff and the cruelty free synthetic stuff. Does it work? Yes. This foot file does remove dry, thickened excess skin on the feet. The coarse and fine surfaces are rather like an emery board. I like foot files because it’s awkward using a pumice stone in the shower, and it’s easy to remove too much skin with those metal files – ouch!

I’m kind of disappointed in this product. There’s not much working surface and the dead skin gets stuck in it, so good luck trying to clean it. I find the handle awkward to grip, and my hands become fatigued using it. Next time I’ll look for something larger, and not something made of wood. This isn’t very sturdy. If Body Shop makes a bigger one, go for it. I just didn’t see one on Amazon.
